Tank bottom ball valves are generally sanitary valve products, mainly used for material conveying and control. They are widely used in food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals, and various chemical industries.

As mentioned above, tank bottom ball valves are used in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields, making their correct use even more important. After all, errors in use in these fields can have significant consequences. So, how do you use a tank bottom ball valve?

Tank Bottom Ball Valve Usage and Related Precautions:

1. The handle and valve stem should be fitted together, with some looseness allowed within tolerance limits. After the handle is tightened, it must conform to the opening and closing direction requirements.

2. The hand-type gasket and valve stem should be fitted together, with some looseness allowed within tolerance limits.

3. The packing gland/cap should not be installed tilted, and the tension on the pressure bolts should be even.

4. The packing/packing gasket/packing gland (gland) must fit the packing chamber with a clearance fit (meaning the packing/packing gasket/packing gland (gland) should be inserted into the packing chamber without any visible clearance). The packing gland (gland) must be coaxial with the packing chamber.

5. Looseness is allowed within tolerance at the valve stem and ball groove fit; excessive looseness will prevent installation.

6. Apply anti-rust paint to the bottom of the groove; the sealing ring must not be loose in the groove fit.

7. Apply lubricating oil to the surface of the ball valve body at the bottom of the tank.

8. Tighten the center bolts diagonally and evenly.
