Sanitary check valve (also known as one-way valve) is a core anti-back flow equipment specially designed for hygiene-sensitive industries such as food, pharmaceutical, bioengineering, beverage and fine chemical. Its core function is to only allow one-way flow of medium and accurately prevent medium contamination, equipment damage and process disorder caused by reverse back flow. The product adopts "swing/lift" core structure, equipped with our patented sanitary sealing technology. From material selection, structural design to surface treatment, it fully complies with 3A, FDA, and GB 12237-2007 standards, completely eliminating sanitary dead corners and ensuring the cleanliness of medium transmission process and process stability. Installation & Maintenance Guide

 

1.Installation Points


① Direction confirmation: Install strictly according to the valve body arrow mark, ensure medium flow direction is consistent with the arrow, reverse installation will cause anti-backflow failure;


② Pipeline cleaning: Must clean the inside of the pipeline before installation, remove welding slag, iron filings and other impurities, avoid valve disc jamming leading to sealing failure;


③ Sealing surface protection: For quick-install connection, ensure no scratches on the sealing surface, clamp evenly tightened, avoid leakage caused by uneven force;


④ Reserved space: When installing swing type model, reserve space ≥ valve disc diameter on the valve disc side to avoid affecting opening and closing;


⑤ Pressure test: After installation, conduct a tightness test with 0.8 times the nominal pressure to ensure no leakage.

 

2.Maintenance Tips (Reduce Operation and Maintenance Cost)


① Daily inspection: Check the pressure difference between inlet and outlet every day. If the pressure difference exceeds 0.1MPa, check whether there is valve disc jamming or seal aging;


② CIP/SIP specification: During cleaning, temperature should not exceed the seal tolerance upper limit, pressure controlled at 0.3-0.5MPa, avoid high-pressure impact damaging the sealing surface;


③ Seal replacement: When leakage or increased opening and closing noise occurs, replace the seal in time. It is recommended to use original accessories to ensure sealing performance;


④ Long-term shutdown: Clean the inside with purified water before shutdown, seal the inlet and outlet after drying to avoid dust entering;

 

⑤ Fault handling: If valve opening is difficult, check whether there is medium crystallization jamming. Do not knock the valve disc with hard objects, which needs to be disassembled, cleaned and reinstalled.

Q: 1.Are you a trading company or factory?

Q: 2. How to choose swing type or lift type according to my working conditions? 

A: Core basis for selection: flow rate, pressure precision and diameter:
①For large diameter (DN50 and above) and high flow scenarios (such as beverage production line, storage tank outlet), swing type is preferred, with strong flow capacity (flow coefficient Cv is 20% higher than lift type of the same diameter) and small pressure loss;
② For small diameter (DN40 and below) and high precision scenarios (such as pharmaceutical sterile liquid distribution, vaccine production), lift type is preferred, with high opening and closing precision, closer sealing surface contact, which can avoid micro-leakage at low flow;

③ For low pressure scenarios (opening pressure ≤0.05MPa), lift type is recommended, with more precise counterweight, avoiding swing type unable to fully open due to insufficient pressure.

Q: 3.My medium is acidic/organic solvent, which material and seal should I choose?

A: Select according to medium corrosion level:
①Weakly corrosive medium (such as citric acid, lactic acid, pH 3-6): Body material chooses 304 stainless steel, seal chooses EPDM (excellent acid and alkali resistance, moderate cost);
②Strongly corrosive medium (such as hydrochloric acid, traditional Chinese medicine extract, pH<3 or pH>11): Body material must choose 316L stainless steel (contains molybdenum, corrosion resistance is 3 times that of 304), seal chooses fluororubber (FKM, resistant to organic solvents and strong acid and alkali, continuous service temperature up to 200℃);
③Alcohol medium (such as alcohol, ethylene glycol): 304 stainless steel + EPDM can meet the demand with higher cost performance;
④High-temperature corrosive medium (such as high-temperature vinegar, above 80℃): 316L stainless steel + fluororubber combination, avoiding seal aging failure caused by high temperature.

Q: 4.The equipment frequently leaks, is it a selection problem or installation problem? How to solve it?

A: ① Step 1: Check installation: Check whether the valve body installation direction is consistent with the medium flow direction (reverse installation will definitely leak), whether the quick-install clamp is evenly tightened, and whether the flange connection bolts are tightened diagonally;
②Step 2: Check selection: If installation is correct, check whether the seal material is suitable for the medium (such as EPDM seal used for organic solvents will swell and leak), whether the opening pressure matches the working condition (high opening pressure model used in low pressure scenario, valve disc not fully opened leading to uneven force on sealing surface);
③Step 3: Check wear: If the first two steps are correct, check whether the sealing surface of valve disc and valve seat has scratches, wear or impurity jamming, which needs to be disassembled, cleaned and replaced with seals;
④Solution: Reinstall if installation is wrong; Replace with suitable model if selection is wrong; Replace seals or valve disc if wear occurs, original accessories are recommended.
